Since Ethan started full-time school this September I feel like we never get the time to do all the fun things we are used to doing. By the time he finishes school and has his tea it is time for a bath, book and bed.
We usually have lazy Saturday morning but since Ethan has started school I have wanted to make the most of the day.
A good way to get everyone up and out early on a Saturday morning is to attend a Saturday class. Now for many children this may be a football or a dance class however, my four-year old is full of energy and is very theatrical. I wanted him to attend a Saturday class that would compliment his personality and hopefully use up a little of his energy.
Sherman Sherbets are Saturday drama sessions for children aged between 4-9 years old taking place at The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff.
The Sherbets sessions involve playing drama games, singing songs and telling stories they are led by friendly, experienced tutors. The sessions are a great way of making new friends whilst building confidence but most of all, Sherbets is about having fun!
The sessions run on a Saturday and are broke up into two age groups, 4-6 year old’s and 7-9 year old’s.
I joined the class this Saturday for purposes of this review and I must say I had lots of fun. I can see why Ethan looks forward to a Saturday morning at the Sherman. The class tutor is the very talented Susan Kingman. Susan was excellent with the children, she really got them involved which was great as any parent knows keeping 4-6 year old children entertained can be difficult.
The tutors are joined in the sessions by an assistant. All tutors and assistants are fully DBS checked.
Ethan listening and acting
After his class we have some quality Mummy and Ethan time, we sit and chat over a hot chocolate and cup of tea from the Sherman Cafe.
I highly recommend Sherman Sherbets to any parent who is looking for a fun, confidence boosting class on a Saturday in Cardiff.
